Copyright and DMCA Policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026
Collective Theory Corp respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of YourTalks (the "Service") to do the same. This policy explains how to report content on the Service that you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your content is removed.
1. Designated Copyright Agent
Notifications of claimed copyright infringement should be sent to our designated agent:
- Designated Agent: Copyright Agent, Collective Theory Corp
- Address: 31 NE 17th St, Miami, FL 33132, United States
- Telephone: (305) 859-1775
- Email: support@collectivetheory.com — please put "DMCA Notice" in the subject line
Please note that these contact details are for copyright notices only. Other inquiries sent here may not receive a response; use our support page instead.
2. Filing a Notice of Infringement
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notice must include substantially all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notice
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — for a podcast, please include the episode URL or title
- Your contact information: address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
Incomplete notices may delay our response.
3. What We Do With a Notice
On receiving an effective notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material, and will make a reasonable effort to notify the user who posted it, including a copy of the notice.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g) to the address above, including:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party or their agent
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
5. Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users we determine to be repeat infringers. We also reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts for any infringement, whether or not it is repeated.
7. AI-Generated Content
Podcasts on the Service are generated by artificial intelligence in response to topics submitted by users, drawing on publicly available sources that we cite within each episode. If you believe a generated episode reproduces your copyrighted work beyond fair use, please send a notice under Section 2 above and identify the specific passages at issue. We will review and act on it under this policy.
8. Trademark and Other Complaints
For trademark, publicity, or other non-copyright intellectual property complaints, contact support@collectivetheory.com with a description of the right you hold and the content at issue.
