Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Collective Theory Corp is committed to making YourTalks usable by everyone, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.

Conformance Target

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across yourtalks.ai and to follow the Apple Human Interface Guidelines for accessibility in the YourTalks iOS app.

Conformance Status

Partially conformant. "Partially conformant" means most of the content meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA, but some parts do not yet. We have completed an internal self-evaluation rather than a formal third-party audit, and we are working through the gaps listed below.

What We Have Done

Measures currently in place on this website:

  • Visible keyboard focus indicators on every interactive element
  • A "Skip to main content" link on every page
  • Text and background colors checked against the 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio for body text
  • Semantic headings and landmark regions (nav, main, footer) so assistive technology can navigate the page structure
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons; purely decorative graphics hidden from screen readers
  • A pause control for the auto-playing product demo videos, which are silent and have text descriptions
  • Full support for the operating system's "Reduce Motion" setting — animations and auto-playing video do not start when it is enabled
  • Labels on all form fields, not placeholder text alone

In the iOS app, screens are labeled for VoiceOver, controls expose their roles and traits, decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology, and animations respect the system Reduce Motion setting.

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following gaps and are working to resolve them:

  • Generated podcast audio: podcasts are produced with word-level transcripts, but transcript coverage and formatting vary by episode. We are improving transcript presentation as a text alternative for audio content.
  • User-generated content: topics and comments submitted by other users are outside our editorial control and may not always be clearly worded or structured.
  • Dynamic Type in the iOS app: much of the app's text is currently set at fixed sizes and does not grow when you increase text size in iOS settings. Bringing the app fully onto Dynamic Type is in progress. If text is too small for you to read, contact us and we will help.
  • Formal audit: we have not yet commissioned an independent WCAG audit. We intend to.

Compatibility

This website is designed to work with current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, together with the screen readers commonly paired with them (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS). It may not work reliably with browsers more than two major versions old.

Feedback and Requests

If you encounter a barrier on this website or in the YourTalks app, please tell us — your report is the fastest route to a fix, and we treat these as priority issues.

  • By email: support@collectivetheory.com — please put "Accessibility" in the subject line
  • Through our support page: yourtalks.ai/support

Please describe the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology and browser or device you were using. We treat accessibility reports as a priority and aim to respond promptly.

If you need information that is currently inaccessible to you, we will provide it in an alternative format at no charge on request.

Assessment Approach

Collective Theory Corp assessed the accessibility of YourTalks by self-evaluation, combining automated testing with manual keyboard and screen-reader review.
